The Resource Mobilization Action Plan developed a four-day workshop organized jointly by the Sri Lanka National Mine Action Centre (NMAC) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) focused on three core areas of 1) coordination, 2) communication and 3) NMAC resources/ capacity and covered the national strategic objectives from the new strategic plan. The workshop was followed by bilateral meetings in Colombo and Geneva between the NMAC and GICHD to complete the action plan initiated during the workshop. The action plan was a tool for the NMAC to address the lack of resources needed to fulfil the objective to achieve a mine/ERW impact free situation by 2020.
